The Berry Community Promise
Making a Better Valley — Together
The Mt. Washington Valley has always been more than the place we work — it’s our home, our neighbors, and the community that shaped the Berry Companies for generations. We’re strengthening that commitment through the Berry Community Promise, a focused initiative to support three essential needs in our region: housing, hunger, and safety services.
Inspired by the lifelong generosity and leadership of Joe Berry, the Berry Community Promise is our way of carrying forward his belief that strong communities are built by people who show up for one another.

Our Three Pillars
Housing
Everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home. We partner with local organizations working to expand affordable housing options and support families facing housing insecurity.
Hunger
Food is a basic need and a foundation for health. We support community food pantries, school meal programs, and nonprofits helping ensure that no one in the Valley goes hungry.
Safety Services
A thriving community depends on strong emergency and safety support. In 2026, a portion of all resort room revenue will be donated to the Bartlett and North Conway Fire Department Associations to help fund critical equipment and resources for the towns where our resorts operate.
Employee Volunteerism
Our team plays a big part in bringing the Berry Community Promise to life. In 2026, every Berry Companies employee will receive paid volunteer time to support local efforts connected to our three pillars. We’ll provide a list of pre-approved local organizations and initiatives, and employees are always welcome to recommend others that align with our mission.
Because great communities aren’t built from the sidelines — they’re built by people who get involved.

Donation Requests
Each year, we accept donation requests during September and October.
To help us review and respond efficiently, please send all requests by mail to:

We appreciate every organization working to make the Valley stronger, and we strive to support efforts that align with the Berry Community Promise and our three pillars.
Requests for in-kind donations (such as overnight stays) can be submitted by email to donations@berry-cos.com. These are limited to local organizations and those within our target market areas—Eastern Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire, Eastern Connecticut, and Rhode Island—and must be submitted at least two months in advance of the event. Events should include sponsor visibility, such as listings on event websites, social media, or printed materials.
Together for a Better Valley
The Berry Community Promise reflects our belief that business can be a force for good — and that when we focus our efforts where they matter most, we can help build a stronger, safer, more connected Mt. Washington Valley for everyone.
If you’d like to learn more or explore partnership opportunities, please do not hesitate to reach out. We’re proud to work alongside the organizations and individuals who make this community exceptional.
